COUNSELORS DEDICATED TO CHANGING MINDS
AND CHANGING LIVES

Trauma is an emotional response to a
terrible event like an accident, rape,
war or natural disaster; it is also seen
when individuals experience
attachment wounding, childhood
neglect and abuse, medical trauma,
and torture. Immediately after the
event, shock and denial are typical.
Long term reactions include
unpredictable emotions, flashbacks,
strained relationships, and even
physical symptoms like headaches or
nausea. While these feelings are
normal, some people have difficulty
healing and begin feeling as though
they are stuck in a cocoon and unable
to move forward with their lives.
The clinicians at Existential Counselor Society are here to help our clients find constructive ways of managing their emotions. They are uniquely trained
and skilled at helping clients bring resolution to painful past experiences
in a safe environment.
